Chicago Chapter Leadership
The American Society of Appraisers is an organization of close to 5,000 respected, professional appraisers nationally, many of whom are distinguished in their fields for their proficiency, knowledge and expertise. ASA’s education programs are developed and taught by recognized leaders in the appraisal profession. Our accreditation process is thorough and meticulous, and we only award the prestigious AM and ASA designations to those that meet the Society’s high standards. Our international and advanced conferences and events attract hundreds of appraisers from around the globe to learn about today’s issues and prepare for tomorrow’s challenges. Most notably, we do all this across six (6) disciplines of appraisal practice. No other professional appraisal organization does what ASA does.

Jason Zilberbrand is the President of VREF Aircraft Value Reference, Appraisal & Litigation Services, the largest aircraft appraisal firm in the United States. With decades of aviation industry experience, Jason is recognized globally as an expert in aircraft valuation, market analysis, and litigation support. He has appraised aircraft for high-profile clients including Fortune 50 companies, government agencies, celebrities, and major financial institutions.
An active member of the American Society of Appraisers, Jason is committed to advancing appraisal professionalism through education, mentorship, and industry engagement. In addition to his leadership with the ASA Chicago Chapter, he frequently teaches valuation courses, speaks at industry events, and collaborates with aviation organizations worldwide.

Vice President
Nathan Fineman, ASA
Nathan Fineman is a Managing Director at DMA with over 14 years of expertise in property tax assessment, appraisal, management, and consulting. With more than nine years specific to property tax and an additional six years specializing in appraisal valuation and review, he brings a deep understanding of complex valuation processes and alternate solutions. For the past five years, Nathan has been at DMA, focusing on personal property taxation, valuation and forecasting across all applicable states, particularly in the Northeast, Southeast, and Midwest. His industry expertise spans manufacturing, data centers, chemical processing, healthcare, pulp & paper, food & beverage, and other industrial sectors, allowing him to be well versed in many asset and property types.
